Sometimes know as 'Chief' or 'Papa Gene' Marvin Eugene (Gene) Breeding, was a friend and father to all. Gene left us on July 17, 2014 after 87 years of life, but will forever be in our hearts and memories. CMSGT Gene Breeding was a veteran of 3 foreign wars, including World War II, Korea and two tours in Vietnam. After 30 years of service he retired from the Air Force and was immediately asked to work for the civil service. Where he participated in assisting the troops in Desert Storm as a civilian.

Gene was born in Akron, Ohio on July 5, 1927 to Jere and Dona Breeding. At the start of the depression his family moved to Tennessee and then made their final home in Oklahoma working as farmers. When World War II broke out Gene was drafted from high school into the Army in 1944. After the war, he returned home to Granite, Oklahoma and graduated high school in 1948. Gene enlisted in the Air Force in 1951 when the Korean War started. He met the love of his life, Betty Ann and they were married for 63 years. Gene often sponsored underprivileged children's education in many countries where he was deployed. He achieved the highest rank possible as an enlisted soldier. Every holiday whether in the U.S. or abroad he would bring the service men and women into his home, to feed them and make them part of his family. While in the military, Gene worked as a taxidriver, janitor, short order cook, and cotton gin operator, in order to support his family.
